Med det här projektet har jag analyserat den samtida bostadsarkitekturen och försökt identifiera återkommande mönster och normer med hjälp av olika metoder. Jag vill undersöka hur arkitektur har formats av olika ideal, standardmått, regler och ekonomiska begränsningar.

Syftet är att peka på hur produktionen är normativ och reproducerar normer, men också hur en del av bostadens egenskaper gått förlorade i det rådande bostadsklimatet. Det är viktigt att ifrågasätta hur bostäder är utformade idag och hur arkitekturen, som tydligt normaliserar en viss typ av liv, påverkar de boende.

Kanske kan mitt arbete öppna upp ögonen för vad ett hem kan vara för olika individer och familjer, samt hur viktigt det är att ha tolkningsmöjligheter och att kunna skapa sin egen identitet i sitt hem. Samtidigt vill jag lyfta fram behovet av att få in vissa arkitektoniska kvaliteter i en interiör för att stärka relationen mellan rum och liv. Med det vill jag visa att inredningsarkitektens kompetens är viktig för framtida bostadsplanering.

With this project I  have analyzed the contemporary residential architecture and tried to identify recurring patterns and norms using different methods. I want to investigate how architecture has been shaped by different ideals, standard measurements, rules and financial constraints.

The aim is to point out how the production is normative and reproduces norms, but also how some of the properties of the home have been lost in the current housing climate. It is important to question how housing is designed today and how the architecture, which clearly normalizes a certain type of life, affects the residents.

Perhaps my work can open the eyes to what a home can be for different individuals and families, as well as how important it is to have interpretation possibilities and to be able to create your own identity in your home. At the same time, I want to highlight the need to bring certain architectural qualities into an interior to strengthen the relationship between space and life. By doing that, I want to show that the interior designer's skills are important for future housing planning.
