Peace on earth : A Space With Self-healing Function (English)
Abstract [en]

In reality, everyone has psychological problems with different levels. As for mental illness, the people who have slight mental illness can balance his/her mind through self-adjustment in short periods. The patient with slight mental illness can heal through mental treatments without medications. The moderate and strong patients can still go back to a normal life after they take the standard or advanced mental illness treatments. In fact, it is not easy to take the first step to do therapy with your own courage and even if you take the first step, you still have to wait a long time to get started with therapy. The mental illness problem is getting more and more serious. It will affect our life and development of the whole world.

My goal for this Master’s project is to design a space for the people who have mental health problems. In this space, he/she can express his/her emotions and get better healing effects from it. This space also works for the therapy process. Using this kind of healing space as a home for the patient, he/she can live there for a period of time and do the therapy inside this ‘home-space’.
