Abstract [sv]

Abstract [en]

A lighting project. Light and mood – pendant lamps for public rooms.Several hundred years ago it was the sun and the daylight that governed our lives. Nowadays, however, most of us probably take light for granted. By simply pressing a button we can continue our lives even after darkness has fallen. We often put on the lights even before the dusk has fallen, or as soon as it is a bit cloudy outside. What was luxury in the old days has now become ordinary. An important reason for working with lighting is that the branch is on the verge of great changes since the light bulb is about to disappear. Producers and designers must think anew and find new solutions for light fixtures. I consider that we as designers must weigh in the consequences our decisions have for the environment. To pay attention to the life cycle of the product ”from the cradle to the grave” must become a natural aspect of our thinking. I have therefore designed a family of light fixtures with three different individuals and three unique characters, in the hope of a brighter future!
