Abstract [en]

This essay is a report from my research and my artistic practice and how they go in- and out of each other. It takes its starting point from a trivial personal experience of being and seeing. From this point the text branches out to questions of perception in both language and physical matter such as body and space. I give examples of how art can obscure patterns of thinking and open up preconceived perceptions. The essay continues with an analysis of the literary concept of the double and meditates on where the edge of a body meets the outside world. Throughout the text there is an expanded form of logbook-entries of my work process.
