Abstract

This essay is a reflective text on my artistic practice and by extension on my master project 

I änden av allén (At the end of the avenue).

Through shorter artistic texts connected to images of artworks I will expand on thoughts concerning what I feel are some of the key points of my artistic practice, suchs as: 

How I look at color in relation to light and shadow, about depicting a place based on my relationship to it, how I use photography as a model for painting and about taking the qualities of the painted image, edges of frame and flatness of the surface, into consideration when depicting a motif.

Following that, I will speak about how the experience of having my degree exhibition has spurred on new thoughts about what it is that I am doing.
