Abstract [en]

The article focuses on black histories in jewlry, an exhibition of Black jewelers at South Side Community Art Center in Chicago curated by 2019 SNAG Emerging Curator Grant recipient LaMar R. Gayles that was a complex experience. Topics include examines that letting history sit only within institutions with the resources to maintain an archive is an exercise of privilege, as discussed with Gayles.
