Abstract [en]
Can one translate what nature possesses into the properties of an object?
Being brought up with nature around the corner. I wanted to return to my childhood experiences to translate the properties of nature into a sculptural intervention for the public realm.
I have researched different properties of materials and the sensorial understanding these bring. With an aim to translate nature’s restorative qualities, its ability to bring calmness, positive distraction, and as a contrast to the stressful urban environment.
Nature is my greatest source of inspiration. It’s perfect/imperfect forms give me a feeling of freedom in my sculptural work. I want to celebrate nature’s rich diversity, shape, and colors in my healing objects for the public realm “The Tree and The Stone”.
