Abstract [en]
This project started out with a longing for a space to unlearn and rethink. One of my main references was the famous North American writer Henry David Thoreau, who lived in the woods for over two years as an experiment on simple living and as a resistance to the society he was born in. However, I came from a very classical fine art educational background, and the clash with the power of visual communication quickly turned around my ideas on the project. I felt eager to address this mind-shift process in a graphic short story. The result is an exploration of why the hero-myth narratives that shape our history are created, as well as an attempt to unfold the power of storytelling.
