The pupil : expert at being a pupil (English)
Abstract [sv]

The purpose of this study is to explore if and how pupils can influence the planning of, and the visual arts educations content. The study also aims to explore and try methods that cherish the pupil’s expertise. I ask the question what dictum becomes prominent in conversations and during a workshop on the theme of pupil influence with pupils and a teacher from the upper secondary level? And What methods for teachers to involve and engage pupils in the content and planning of the visual arts education content arises during these conversations and during the workshop. In this study I analyse the empirics through a method inspired by discourse analysis, through this analysis I come to the conclusion that both pupils and the teacher find that we should strive for influence and participation in the education. In this study I also find that both teacher as well as the pupils find express influence and participation from the pupils will help to enrich and make the education more engaging and developing. In the project it is shown that still there is some obstacles to overcome to create a more participation-based school, but the study does also show that there are ways and methods to approach the teacher-pupil dynamics to encourage participation and pupil influence.During the time of this study the society is severely affected by the current pandemic in covid-19. Hence the workshop and the interviews had to be done over the world wide web. The Artist’s books made by pupils while be exhibited at Konstfacks online-catalogue that will replace the annual spring-exhibition.
